Basil Manning Fishing Equipment was founded in the 1960’s and is now one of South Africa’s major fishing tackle retailers and a market leader in salt-water fishing and both fresh and salt lure angling.

The business has been owned by Barry Wareham and his wife Kathy since 1991.  Barry’s life-long obsession with fishing and angling means he brings to the business a wealth of experience.  He has developed innovative rods and fishing tackle to solve various problems faced by fishermen, thus evolving a portion of the Basil Manning business into a wholesale division which later became a separate company of which Barry is a major shareholder, called IFISH Tackle Wholesalers.   Basil Manning stores stock all of the famous IFISH Brands which can be viewed online at www.ifish.co.za

Brands include Assassin fishing rods, GT Ice Cream surface plugs, CID Iron Candy metal spoons, JDB and Grinder braid and many more.

Basil Manning Fishing Equipment has five branches operating on the East Coast of South Africa located in Durban, Umhlanga Rocks, Cornubia, Ballito and Richards Bay. Contact details and pictures of the stores can be viewed at http://www.basilmanning.co.za/contact-information.html
