Notice to all anglers who do not fly fish but dream of catching a bonefish (or any flat dweller!) on the flats: French Bidoz company offers artificial shrimps, baitfish and crabs mounted with a ballast made of tungsten, the OFF-Beads, weighing 1.35 and 2.35 g which can used with a light spinning rod, a 0.15 mm braid line and a 20 lb fluorocarbon leader. Same as for fly fishing, one has to cast in front of a fish, let the lure sink to the bottom and then twitch it slowly to draw the fish’s attention.
